Counselling and Art ThearpyI use mindfulness based counselling and art therapy within a trauma informed model of care to:
- Integrate and heal trauma.
- Discover ways to navigate stress, fear and other life challenges.
- Build a greater sense of direction, meaning and purpose.
Art therapy uses the creative process of making art, to help express thoughts and feelings that are difficult to put into words.
It enhances the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being of individuals of all ages.
Art therapy encourages motivation, spontaneity, creativity, choice, self-esteem and self-awareness.
You do not need to be good at it, or have any art skill. People with any level of interest in art, or in the process of creating and making can use art therapy.
