I highly recommend Barracks Vet! James is a thorough, caring and well-informed vet. We had to face the frightening onset of epilepsy in our young dog, and James was informative, comforting, and very thorough in helping us understand what was happening, and patient in explaining our options for treatment. Our dog is doing really well on the treatment James recommended. I recently visited again in a panic, fearing the dog was having a paralysis tick reaction. James carefully examined her, asked lots of questions and spent the time necessary to determine it was a completely different issue (a sore knee!) simultaneously educating me about what to watch for with ticks. I especially appreciate the way James always spends the necessary time to get to know my animal and to determine the best course of action.
The office is spotless, well run, easy to park and access. I feel lucky to have found Barracks Vet!
Nothing but High praise and recommendations for this wonderful surgery.James has an amazing way with animals and a very extensive knowledge of what a problem may be before the need for more expensive investigations. Thank you James for helping our dog and those of our many friends who have changed to The Barracks Vet.
Not impressed with Barracks Vet. I had high expectations after my initial contact with a very good staff member but it all went downhill from there when the vet refused to lower their very loud voice to help calm my anxious pet. Then when I asked the vet to move away so I could calmly return my pet to the carrier, the vet again loudly refused my request. If you require a calm caring vet look elsewhere, you won't find one at Barracks Vet.
Thank you for your review. It was pleasing to hear the initial contact was successful. We are always aiming to improve so will be sure to let the vet involved know that.
