One of our favorite spots to dine on the peninsula. Good value and views to die for. Coffees are not extra hot even if you order them that way. The sword fish I had was delicious but a small serve (for a tradie!) The staff know their menu well are are not intrusive. We keep coming back as the food and service is above average... a positive comment given the number of great places to dine on the peninsula When you book, ask for a table near the water.
This would have to be one of the worst dinning experiences I have had in a long time. This is due to:
- My steak was 50% fat, very little actual meat.
-Fish portions were dismal.
- Partner ordered something off the specials board and received something completely different. When she queried the waitress, she was advised "they had run out of what was on the speacial board"!
- Entree dishes not cleared before main
- Booked a table near tv to watch AFL GF replay and was kicked out at 1/4 time due to a wedding, despite ringing up to confirm we could view the game there!
What a place! The food and service were fantastic and the views are something else, I wentthere with my wife for a romantic diner, and we both loved it! We will be going back regularly even though it is a bit of a drive, well worth the trip for the food, the service, the views and the experience.
The Baths at Sorrento was overall a relatively disappointing experience. On the up side the view is gorgeous and can even be enjoyed from inside thanks to plentiful windows, and the food tasted great. The place has a nice atmosphere. But on the down side, there is definitely an issue with portion sizes in my opinion. $13.80 for a focaccia literally the size of a McDonalds cheeseburger is ridiculous. The lemon tart was lovely but again, really small. Also the service was fairly poor. One of our meals arrived much later than the others because the staff forgot (cue awkward polite waiting and our food going cold). They also forgot to bring us our water and we had to take one from a nearby table because we couldn't get their attention. This happened even though the restaurant was not particularly busy. In conclusion, the prices are too high for the portion sizes and poor quality of service, but if they improve this The Baths could be worth visiting due to its fantastic views ...read more
