The Bean

This is a nice cafe located on Darling Street. Quite eclectic interior with bookcases with flowers, alcohol, and condiments.

I was served by really friendly staff and they were so helpful. I had the Green Bean which had creamy scrambled eggs with basil, pesto, and feta. It also had some crispy and natural prosciutto on top of crusty sourdough. Tasted quite nice. The Apple And Watermelon Juice was freshly squeezed and refreshing for this hot day. Had a Cappuccino to finish off my meal. It was the Little Marionette blend. Tasted lovely.

I really like the Bean. The music is always good, I love the vintage music posters adorning nearly every centimetre of wall, and the food and coffee is really good, too. The only things I'd maybe change is adding more kid options for lunch. I was also a bit grumbly about my daughter getting a big tall juice glass, which was too big for her to get on the table. She dropped it and apple juice went everywhere. I then ordered another and had to pay.If it was my place I'd have given a freebie, I think. Or maybe I should have said something at the outset, foreseeing the inevitable!

This would have to be one of my most favourite places in all of Sydney. The food is amazing and I love the atmosphere. Brilliant and very accommodating staff as well.

Great little cafe, staff are always friendly and the coffee is amongst the best in the neighbourhood.
