The Beat Bar

Reasonable new addition to Glebe Point Rd with a clear emphasis on quality tunes. The food and drink are pretty minimalist and simple but they do the trick and don't distract from the point that this place is about decent music. Although I do hear there's a nice cocktailbar area upstairs. Regular lineup of jazz, funk, burlesque, comedy... This is a place worth a visit and a great addition to the neighbourhood arts scene.

You are in New Orleans. The streets are busy with rum filled singers and dancers tumbling and stumbling from loud bar to loud bar when you reach a special kind of place. It's lighting is dim but glows and beckoning red and green that's less like light and more like an aura.
