I think being the only eating place within the shopping centre at Northam allows this cafe to get away with pretty average food and service. I ordered a ham cheese and avocado turkish bread, with a side of chips for my not-quite-two daughter. for $11.90 I was pretty disappointed. The roll contained one slice of ham that covered only half the roll and a piece of cheese the same. The avocado was brown and the whole thing had the look of being there for a day or two. Anyway I ate it without saying anything and by the time I'd finished my daughter had only eaten a chip or two, so I asked at the counter if I could have a small bag to put them in so we could go. "It'll be 30c for a bag, packaging is extra' WHAT???!!!! I know times are tough but honestly, I think thats taking it a bit far. I work in hospitality and know that there is no way that a small paper bag costs 30c. Since when did cafes make money off their packaging? Will we be charged for the serviettes next? Don't know who u asked for a bag but since I've worked there I've never been told to charge for them, the food is always fresh and if you'd bothered to bring yr concerns to the staff instead of here we would have done our best to help u out
