The British Lolly Shop

The British Lolly Shop is so sweet and a great addition to the Hunter Valley area, especially with a lot of tourists coming through. The whole place is like an old-fashioned British sweet shop filled with hard-boiled sweets in jars lining the walls. They also sell some really hard-to-find British products such as Hula Hoop crisps and Persil washing detergent. It is really nice to have somewhere that stocks all the British products you miss out on in Australia. The sweets are definitely the drawing card, they have all the favourites like rosy apples, lemon drops and sherbet bon bons. If you have a sweet tooth or just want a taste of England this place is a must visit.

The Lolly Shop is in a great setting there at The Hunter Valley Gardens :-) and it is stocked FULL of products and sweets from the UK. It is a definite place to visit for all my UK relatives, they love being able to have a taste of home :-) Of course you don't HAVE to be from the UK to enjoy the sweets they have on offer, choo choo bars, love hearts, sherbert, toffee, lollypops, and so much more. The store is well laid out and even has sugar free sweets available for diabetics, some of the candies are a little expensive, but if you are wanting to try something different - you know the things you can't buy in Coles or Woolworths then drop by the British Lolly Shop - if sweets are *your thing* you'll love it! :-)
