After being Melbourne devotee of Brown Dog's bespoke pieces (love the reclaimed French Oak which is a real talking point in our dining table) we've just furnished a new apartment in Surry Hills via their new store in Redfern. They tailored the designs and timbers to suit our decor and layout which was a real bonus.
Our experience was average (as compared against other custom-made furniture companies we have used before) because we were told our table would be delivered 2.5 months after we put in the order. However, we were still chasing almost 3.5 months after and while we understand delays sometimes happen it would have been nice to have been kept updated about progress rather than having to constantly chase, especially as the table was in excess of $5000. The company did give us a small discount on the balance owing but I have to say that because it was so frustrating to get our table delivered I would look elsewhere next time.
