I went to The Brown Hair to get my hair dyed for the first time. My experience here was an unpleasant one that I wish I could forget.
The style that I wanted was, what I have come to find out is called "balayage". When I booked the appointment, I tried to explain that I wanted something that looked in between highlights, and ombre, because I didn't know the terminology for what I actually wanted. Instead of trying to understand the style I was after, they told me to get highlights, because it is better for dying your hair for the first time. ...read more
I wanted to love this place, because it looks cool - it's nice to see an edgier salon in the 'burbs. I went with my man one weeknight to get a quick haircut for him. A stylist cut his hair, and the haircut was horrible. Bad, bad, bad. If I rated the salon based on that stylists's skill (poor) and customer service (even worse), I would rate this place very low. However, I had a chat to a other stylist while I was waiting for my man, and stylist seemed friendly and also had some good suggestions for my hair. So, for that reason alone, I'm going to give the salon the benefit of the doubt and add a few stars to what would otherwise be a horrendous rating.
