The Bunker has to be my favourite breakfast spot in Darlo. Okay there are times when the table service could do with a bit of work but in terms of interesting breakfast options, great coffee and atmosphere, this place has is all.
I love going here on a sunny day and sitting outside while I enjoy a lazy coffee and breakfast.
Went here for Saturday Breakfast/Lunch. This place was pumping, busy and had raving reviews. But, being shoved in the corner of this hole in the wall on these ultra metallic stools that made you slip all over the place didn't make a great start. Whilst the coffee was good, the food was lacking taste, value and the selection was limiting somewhat. So head here for a coffee but more than that, not so much.
I can actually express how much I love this place. Even though there are some things that could be better, I just love the breakfast here. The Bunker is everything a cafe should be. Great, simple and fresh food. Friendly, down to earth service and organised. I love coming here every Saturday morning for their Toad in the Hole. They use Campos coffee which is okay but a small price to pay for the other things that are great about this place. Note, you do have to sit on a sidewalk on milk crates but they now have added a tressle table outside. This may not suite everyone but it really is a great cafe. Also they have daily specials which change and lots of tasty sandwiches if you have after something quick. There are communal tables inside.
