When in need of a cake you know who to call....The Cake Man! (insert superhero theme)
This place has a lot and i mean lots of varieties of cakes, pies, tarts etc. On one side you have the coffee area and mini cakes etc on the opposite end they have the cakes for birthdays and other special occasions. The seating area is along side the arcade and at the back of the store.
They serve hot pies and sausage rolls as well as small quiches or family sized quiches for those quick dinner nights.
Order and pay at the counter if you would like to dine in. They will hand you a table number and bring out your food/coffee.
Can be a bit slow if there is queue waiting to be served but staff are friendly and helpful.
Hidden inside a small aisle of an old building, away from the hustle and bustle of the modern shopping strip is a little gem that is Cakeman. Consisting of two small shops, one opposite another, and separated by the pedestrian alleyway, Cakeman serve both cakes and beverages for eat in as well full sized take home cakes for celebrations of any sort. The seating area is somehow scattered all around and inside the shop and the alley, some with outdoor settings overlooking the community car park.
For such a small shop, the number of items that they offer is quite extensive. The prices are also quite reasonable. On our last visit, we ordered the chocolate hazelnut cake slice and blueberry orange almond cake slice, both of which were delicious and warranted more slices to go!
The service was also friendly, which is another reason to buy cakes from this shop.
