The Chatswood Monkey Bar

Honestly, this is one of those places that I would certainly not be recommending in a hurry. In fact, I almost came pretty close to not even having a beer here, but I decided to do so just so that I feel comfortable in letting people know what I actually thought of this place, and yeah, as you can tell, it wasn’t much. Honestly, all it is is a collection of pokie machines that happen to be in the same building as a bar – and that is it. Okay, I have been to some places where I have been nicer, but that has had to do with the reception I received, and the reception I received here really wasn’t all that great. Honestly, I’d give this place a miss.

there is nothing special about this bar i have been here on many occasions to play poker and have late night drinks. It is open late which is nice but has a very small bar area and everyone is kind of forced to smoke outside on the tiny balcony at the entrance

This is a great place to head for drinks or a quick meal with friends. The food is tasty and very good value for money, and the service is prompt and friendly. It doesn't have a romantic vibe, so it's not the place to go for a romantic meal or for a special occasion. If you are eating here, you'll find the menu to be standard pub meal fare. The cocktails are wonderful!

Not the classiest of places to visit on a saturday evening but a nice relaxed atmosphere with cheap drinks. There is an upstairs lounge which is actually quite cosy - I attended a christmas party there last year. Not bad but I wouldnt go out of my way to visit.

Cozy little bar around the corner from Chatswood station. Drinks are not too expensive. Their cocktails are a little pricey, but worth every penny. One complaint I have is that the outdoor area is the entrance to the pub - inconvenient for smokers in winter.
