Firstly, for the cost of $39 per adult and $18 per child I would have expected something special with prices comparative to 5 star hotel high teas! Having booked 2 weeks prior I would have thought it wouldn't have been a problem to seat 3 adults and 4 small children together.....wrong! 2 separate tables with our backs to the children is not acceptable! After suggesting we sit together and being told not today we had to move our tables together ourselves and told staff we 'will be sitting together'.
On arrival, the place is tiny, little atmosphere, you can hear everyone else's conversations in there and you can't help but feel like the staff are watching you from their even smaller counter. Minimal decor you would expect for an 'English ' style tea house with middle of the range linen.
Food ok but nothing special, not worth the money . Go elsewhere for atmosphere and a real high tea experience. We will next time!!
