The Codmother

So after several owners, the Cod mother is a great deal better than what it used to be! Their burgers are so big I find it hard to finish one! My only gripe is being a Victorian I like my Battered fish and it has to be crispy, I sometimes find it not crispy - if this this my only complaint I can deal with that as the fish is still fresh and tasty! Yes I'll be definitely going back!

Food over cooked and burnt need to change oil as food is brown.. Gave it a chance not comming back.

I have been going to the Codmother for the past 3 years and just love the friendly service and great food, the burgers are delicious, the chips are cooked perfectly and the fish best around. And the new upgrades to the shop are fantastic, great job guys i always love going to the Codmother. Oh and love the new milkshake flavours.

This evening I brought two battered sausages and chips and when I got home and open the wrapper I found the chips were over cooked and the sausages were so disgusting I threw the whole lot away !! What a complete waste of money and we shall NEVER return there again.

Went to this fish shop last Wednesday and was pretty shocked with the food when I got home. The burger looked a decent size but upon opening it it was a shriveled piece of mince meat that was no bigger than three chicken nuggets, for 10 may aswell have just had a bread roll. My three dollar chips were very small my five year old ate them herself. Ill be sticking to the big companies if this is what small businesses are providing.
