**** Allergies****
Last night I attended my mother in laws wedding at Wyreena.
I am currently breastfeeding my 6 month old son, who has severe allergies to numerous different proteins in food. Especially Dairy and Soy.
Over the past 6 months we have spent countless days at the Royal Children’s Hospital. In and out of allergist appointments and Gastroenterologist appointments. As any exposure to allergens causes severe Bleeding from my sons colon. Allergic Colitis to be exact.

Located at the Wyreena Community Arts Centre and close to an excellent playground with ample parking. There is seating indoors and out and even on a gloomy rainy day, it is nice and bright inside. The service was just ok and the prices are reasonable. There are light lunch options, as well as sweets of cakes, slices and biscuits. My cappuccino was a little disappointing although it was beautifully served in a floral cup and saucer. The babycino for my toddler was also disappointing - it wasn't anywhere near the top of the tiny cup. And unfortunately, I didn't really care for the taste of their banana bread but luckily my toddler loved it. Although it is nice inside, the presence of so many fake flowers and plants is not to my liking but I guess they are much easier to care for.
Thank god this cafe has opened again. It has been closed for nearly 12 months. I went last week with the kids whilst they were on school holidays and it was so nice to go to somewhere local and have a fantastic homely lunch and let the kids play on the playground. The food was very reasonably priced and home cooked. The staff were very friendly. It is a great meeting place for myseld and the mums at the local primary school, Ruskin. I took my husband today for the buffet breakfast which was delicious as much as you can eat you have to love tha.t. Thank you for reopening we will be back for food or coffee. From a very happy local.
