Located directly opposite the MCG, the Cricketers Arms Hotel is a mainly sports bar. On game days it is packed from early in the day well into the evening. With a great selection of local and imported on tap beers, this is a locals favorite pub.

This is an old style Aussie pub- no frills, just across the road from the MCG but it is a part of Melbourne football history. During football season people congregate to watch the game while having a few beers or for a pre or post game drink. It does get very crowded on big game nights. Be warned though- the traffic during football season is insane so take public transport or be prepared for a long wait/ride in a taxi.
a great little pub if on your way to the football,cricket or whatever is happening at the "G".No pockies to worry about just a great spot to meet mates before and after the game. A good beer garden out the back and the girls behind the bar ain,t bad either.
Only down side is no meals.
