The Crosstown Eating House

We are located in a 1920's two story brick building in the antiques strip of Logan road, Wolloongabba.
Our establishment is somewhere to eat rather than dine. We provide a relaxed and informal setting that compliments our simple menu. Our dishes are designed to be shared with friends and to compliment our wine and dessert lists. Our largest table seats eight people, we are fully licensed and do not allow BYO and we do not require reservations. Bring your friends to the cross town eating house for a quality meal.

Hip new restaurant in a big old 1920s building which once housed a baby health centre. With its tall wooden tables and stools it feels like an old-fashioned Queensland bar-meets-diner. Serving hearty dishes which are designed to be shared, like lamb cutlets, pork spare ribs, barramundi and

I haven't tried the food, as we wandered past here after dinner looking for a few drinks. Wasn't disappointed! I have discovered a love for the 'old fashioned' cocktail after trying it out here, really nicely balanced with a touch of burnt orange to give that sweet smell just before you drink. Also the only place I've found so far to get a glass of yamazaki. Will be back with friends!

Recently re-opened as Crosstow Public House they've changed their menu to feature more classic pub fare, but done really well. Great selection of drinks and very reasonably priced as well. We went one Saturday night and were back again on Sunday - that should tell you what we thought of the place.

I have never left this venue disappointed. I have been three times in the last 6 months alone, and each time the quality of food and service improves. I always recommend the Cross Town to any interstate guests and have had many business lunches there. I only wish they would take bookings!

Have no idea what it is like to eat here. Looked at the website, kitchen closing time clearly listed. Tired to call to be sure, answering machine only. Made the 25 minute drive. Arrived 20 minutes before the kitchen closed. Told no, sold out of a lot of things, kitchen is closed. No apology, no but I can offer you something. Never to return, poor business management.

I really enjoy going to Crosstown Eating House when I am in Brisbane. I was so happy to read that they are now opened for breakfast so on a recent trip, I went and met a couple of friends for brunch. One of my companions stated that this was the best breakfast menu in Brisbane but I have to say I was a little disappointed in the execution. Not sure if it was busy and they were short staffed or if it was just a bad day but the food was a little below the usual standard as was the service. I really do love the relaxed atmosphere of this place and the breakkie is worth checking out but there is room for improvement.
