Cupcake Bakery is the best. Their marketing strategy is great. Must eat their cupcakes all the time.

I really can not understand why The Cupcake Bakery is so popular. The first time I tried them, the cake was seriously stale and the whole thing was an all round disappointment. But I gave them a second chance, and the cake was seriously stale and the whole thing was an all round disappointment. Yes, the stores are easily accessible being at almost every shopping centre, but there are so many great cupcake businesses in Melbourne, I can't imagine why you'd by a stale one.

We had never before splurged on The Cupcake Bakery's 'assorted dozen' (consisting of 6 standard cupcakes and 6 deluxe cupcakes) - but a visit to their city store a fortnight ago changed all that. And what a treat it was to take home such a wide selection of flavours, to share between friends. With varied tastes to consider, it was helpful to be able to select any cupcakes in store in the dozen, (with the one exception of the 'Custard Tumble' cupcake), rather than being restricted to a set dozen - as is often the case elsewhere when purchasing via a more inexpensive bulk option. Everyone from chocoholics to health conscious are certainly catered for. The Red Velvet is a delicious option (see other reviews which testify to the same), and the Carrot Cake particularly moist. If you're in need of a sugar rush, go to Cupcake Bakery. It's hard to go past and resist the temptation. The cupcakes look gorgeous with a number of flavours available such as red velvet, sticky date, choc peppermint, chili choc, tiramisu, hummingbird, etc. I tried the red velvet and it was delicious although incredibly sweet. I'm looking forward to trying the other flavours!
