It was a stormy day last week on one of the days I didn't pack my own lunch so I ended up going downstaits to grab a sandwich. Cannot remember if this is the normal/usual price but I found the egg sandwich I ordered a little pricey for what it was. It was tasty and convenient just downstairs nonetheless.
Ordered platters today of sandwiches, focaccias and wraps today including a platter of vegetarian options for the office. It was quite expensive looking at the amount we got but it was very filling amongst us and the products/fillings were nice and fresh, worth the cost for the good service and the healthy nice items.
Came down from my work building just located next door to order a mixture of sandwich platters for a work meeting here and they were very quick and on the ball. Didn't take long at all! Very filling sandwiches, cut and spread out evenly. They did a good job for on the spot in the middle of the busy lunch orders. Wonderful work!
The Daily Planet, in the ground floor of the Westpac Building (between Waymouth and Currie Streets) is one of the better lunch bars in the CBD. After selecting from a big menu, everything is prepared while you wait. Their system is very efficient, so you can get in and out very quickly. Outside, there are lots of tables and places to eat around the enclosed plaza area. Can get a bit cool, but its protected from the wind and heat.
Also, because its slightly away from the main areas of the CBD, it's a lot less crowded.
