The Daniel O'Connell Pub & Dining
The Daniel O'Connell was purchased in February 2013 with a vision to create a place of conviviality - where people who are fond of feasting, drinking and great company can come to feel good about themselves and their lot in life.
Our team of professional hosts are passionate about providing a remarkable and referable guest experience in the relaxed surroundings of our amazing heritage pub building.
We proudly act as ambassadors for the carefully selected products we serve, taking the time to understand their special story and offer creative menus that serve them in their best light.
Whether from supplier or producer our products are selected on two factors, their natural deliciousness and their journey from "paddock to plate". Our food follows the farmhouse tradition of serving what is fresh, sustainable and abundant at any given time.
Our beverages are a selection of Ireland's favourites, local gems and global benchmarks. We trust you will find something to meet your desires whatever the occasion that gives us the pleasure of your company.
We invite you to be our guest. For more information on our menus and events, please visit our website. ...read more

A part of me thought I had never been to this place before, however when I was sitting out the back with my friend I had this feeling of Deja Vu, not that it was Deja Vu namely because the beer garden was really familiar. Well, I probably had been here since my friends have been around to quite a few of the pubs in North Adelaide in their time, so I'm sure we would have landed up at this one at some time or another. Basically it is an Irish pub with all the trappings that you would expect from your standard Irish pub. It wasn't a bad place, but I have to admit that my taste in pubs has changed over time. I'd probably come back here, but I wouldn't be doing it in much of a hurry though.
Some places are hard to review, but this hotel/restaurant wasn't. The one thing I'll always remember about this place is just how much I wanted to take the head chef home. The food was fantastic, we had dinner in the restaurant a few nights ago and liked the atmosphere and service so much we came back and ate in the front bar where we were remembered, treated like friends and felt very welcome. All of my friends love this hotel and we are considering it as a regular appearer in our nights out and lunch days.
Recommended to everyone.
