The Deli

Some friends had invited me to catch up here at The Deli for lunch on the weekend but unfortunately I had plans already so couldn't stay but I did stop in briefly as I was passing through to have a Chai Latte. I was happy to know they were a dog friendly cafe as I did have my pooch with me at the time. The staff were lovely and were more than happy to have my dog there giving her water and cuddles.

Unfortuntely The Deli has declined. The dinner menu is now very limited, which is fine, but if you're going to have such a limited menu everything needs to be excellent and that was not the case. We started with the pork sliders which were fine. For $18 you get three sliders and a good serve of fries. The pizzas however were poor. They really lacked taste. The bases were not nice. They were loaded with cheese. Not even the pizza with three different types of pork on it was tasty. Luckily the service is still good. However, it seems to be getting good reviews for breakfast so maybe that is The Deli's thing now.

Haven't been here in ages! A few friends of mine decided to pop in here for a group reunion as such as a few of us hadn't been here before. The menu and food was a good as it was (great) as last time, very well made and tasty!

The Deli is under new management. They've freshened the place up and put a put a small takeaway counter in the front. There is now a lovely bar seat right at the front window to people watch as you enjoy your meal. Service was excellent. We dropped in for a beer on the way home and tried their southern fried chicken - yum! A great re-vamp of a local institution.

Didn't even know this place existed until a friend organized a dinner catch up here. Just located outside the city, there is plenty of street parking. It's not a really big place but the space is decent. They have indoor and outdoor seating which is undercover. The food we ordered was delicious and their pizza's are pretty darn good! I will definitely come back and would like to give their breakfast a try!
