The Doncaster Hotel

I can’t really say that this was one of the best pubs that I have been to. Okay, it wasn’t too bad, but it wasn’t incredibly extra-ordinary either. The staff were rather friendly, and there were a couple of interesting beers on tap, but in the end, there were mostly the standard ones that you generally find at most pubs. It was rather quiet when I was here, though that probably had something to do with it being in the morning (though not too early).

Since their renovations, the Doncaster Hotel has turned into a rather sultry and sophisticated venue frequented by locals, uni students and punters from the neighbouring Royal Randwick racecourse. Good vibes and plenty of room throughout the multi storey hotel, the Doncaster has a little bit of something for everyone. A particular highlight is the 2 for 1 cook your own steaks on a Tuesday night - just get in early because it does get busy around the grill.

Nomad's Thoughts: Good vibes in a stylish makeover, the Donactser is great for a casual drink, dinner or just to watch the footy. Well worth a visit - it may even become your local.

Nomad's Thoughts: Plenty of room once inside, the pub is perfect for dinner or after work drinks. Plenty of Tver for live sports and the atmosphere on race weekend is unbeatable. Tuesday nights are a real hit with the locals with 2 for 1 steaks and all you can eat salad, but get in quick cause this is one special that fills up fast!!

The Donny goes all right!

Looks wise, I think the Donny is like... the silver fox of pubs. Like... It's been around a while, but you can tell she's still got that fun side she's always had and a few drinks will only make her cheekier but she'll always be a classy one.

Food at The Donny is pretty great! I guess it's like better quality pub grub plus random specials and a bit of a surprise soup or something here and there and mate, I don't know, the foods good, all right? Jesus...

The selections up to snuff. They've got your typical domestics but a couple of special guest boutique beers i guess? Wine and spirit selection seems pretty crazy though.

Anyway, I think it's a nice place to chill cause it's not SUPER fancy but it's got everything you need and has great staff working the coals and keeping the gears oiled.

Also, apparently the Trivia's pretty good too.
