The Elephant Walk

It's been a long time since I've come here.. But safe to say the waffles are still so tasty and satisfying!!! The place itself is still cosy and intimate too :)

Another great place for late night dessert craving (especially the Waffles) or a cosy romantic date with your other half. The ambience is charming, its quaint and you have your own little booths to unwind in. Because it is a small place, it does get busy and fills up quite quickly.. be really good if it were bigger, but then again I guess thats were its uniqueness comes from, being snug. Do give this place a try if you haven't already :)

This cosy and intimate little retreat is lovely for late night treats, especially as a wind-down after a big night. It can be very hard to get a table though, and I have to be pretty keen to wait outside for 30 minutes in the freezing cold late at night. So getting there when the doors open at 8 is a good idea. The coffee is lovely, the cakes delicious! I believe it changed hands in recent years, and the atmosphere has suffered for it. Its not as intimate as it used to be. The lighting seems brighter, and the "booths" more open. The backgroud music was very taste-specific last time we went (i.e. we hated it), and loud enough to be an annoying distraction rather than an enhancement. Staff seemed less than friendly, I think they are relying too much on their reputation to bring people back rather than good service.

Elephant walk is the perfect indulgence, whether you go with friends or a lover. It's always hard to choose from their range of desserts, but my favourite so far has been the sticky date pudding!

I always look forward to a night out at Elephant Walk. Their chocolate and sticky date puddings are some of the best you'll ever try. The size of it makes it feel very exclusive and cosy. The selection of coffee and tea is also fantastic.
