The Elephant
The Elephent Britsh Pub is located just a pints throw away from Adelaide's Rundle Street cafe precinct. With over 2 dozen beers on tap, hearty meals, lively service, (no gaming!,) and regular live music; The Elephant has every ounce the charm of a traditional English drinking hole. This place has been around for quite a while, though you might miss it (unless you are planning on seeing a movie at the Palace-Nova, then you will walk straight past it). I've been here a few times in the past with friends, once to watch a soccer match, which isn't a surprising thing to do here since it is a traditional English Pub. Actually, the idea of it being an English pub goes so far as having it in a traditional Tudor building, which I have to say is really cool. I've generally quite liked the atmosphere of the place, especially since it gets nowhere near as crowded as some of the other pubs on Rundle Street. While it may only have a handful of craft beers on tap, it is certainly a place to check out. Mind you, if you are looking for a place where you can actually sit down while having a beer, then this is probably a go to place, especially on a Friday night.
