The Fish Hut

The worst fish and chips ever! Fish - oily, chips -oily, prawns - oily, crab sticks - oily, batter was disgustingly thick, everything tastes like used and old oil. They were DEFINATELY not fish and chips. I'm sorry I love fish and chips but this ruined everything!

This place was disgusting. I couldn't eat the fish or the chips. So oily and the oil was old tasting. Yuck!

Last night we went to this place after the other local fish 'n chip shop said that there would be an hours wait. Unfortunately we made the wrong choice!! I am in my mid forties with 3 kids and in all my life (including OS places I have travelled), I have never tasted worst fish 'n chips. It was disgusting!!! I don't know how you can get fish 'n chips wrong but they did. The chips were like they were recooked... The fish was extremely dry and all (including the chips) was burnt...Never ever go to this fish 'n chips take-away!! Go to the one that is popular and wait. That is the lesson for us and what we should have done.

As fish and chips go, this place was alright. The fish and the chips were both of a reasonable standard. And wait time for the food was pretty good considering they were fairly busy when we ordered.

We tried both the grilled and battered fish, which both were of a good size and taste.

The place advertises itself as "the home of the crunchy chip". Whilst the chips were a little crunchy, they were not the crunch sensation that I was expecting.

Overall I was reasonably happy and was not disappointed in the experience.

Worst chips I have had in my life, may as well have ordered a handful of batter. It was like they were old chips covered in batter and re-fried. As for the Spring roll, you would think they could get a spring roll right. Battered and salted with maybe a teaspoon of actual veg in there. Not impressed, Def off elsewhere next time.
