Worst customer service ever - went with my 1yo to meet a friend for coffee, no high chairs, so we decide to get our coffees to go, whilst we are waiting for the coffees we sat down and my 1yo was staying next to my chair; the waitress brought the coffees over and one of them was wrong, she seemed annoyed when we pointed this out and reluctantly went back to fix it; once she brought it back she pretty much kicked us out stating that “babies cannot be on the floor” in the most unwelcome and rude tone (to clarify, my one year old was standing next to my chair); we said we were leaving anyway (hence the take away coffees) and will never go back.
The food is excellent and the coffee divine but the table staff are somewhat rude and arrogant. I have tried to contact the Manager to give feedback directly but there is no email address or any other means of communication other than a phone number. Everytime I have rung its an answering service. Having eaten here several times it annoys me so much - that as I have the last bite of food the plate is whipped away. After my last sip of coffee the cup is gone. Never am I asked if I have finished. On Friday - as always this happened as I finished my almond croissnat. My clean serviette was taken from where I had thought it was out of reach! The queue at the counter was fairly long but there were four empty tables. Will I go again? The jury is out.
I had a very bad experience from very unfriendly and rude staff & management. Not only was I shortchanged I was approached by a very curt management staff telling me that customers had been complaining and were scared from the noise my baby was making and if I chose to stay longer that I would need to sit outside. I was left shocked and speechless that compelled me to leave shaking my head in disgust. Thanks for nothing flute!
The bread is nice. The staff treat you as though you should be honoured to be allowed to hand over your money. I raced in there between hospital visits and caring for a sick child hoping to eat something fast but nutritious. The rudeness and attitude of the staff made the food taste like sand. The healthy Canberra economy has come at the expense of customer service. Clearly this is a business that believes it can weather the coming economic downturn in Canberra by treating its customers like something nasty they stepped in on the street.
