The Flying Fox Cafe

I've attempted coffee twice recently here and I've been sorely disappointed. I also find having to take a vibrating screeching disc a little impersonal when my coffee is my only order and I'm the only person in the cafe. It's right next to the park so I'll probably go again for convenience.

Great for people with dogs and kids as there is a huge play area right next to the cafe. Because it is outside birds loiter next to you waiting for you to drop a chip which can get a bit annoying, and also make the place look a bit grubby. We only wanted something light and the lunch menu looked a little on the pricey side, but the sandwiches behind the counter are much more reasonable.

Dogs made very very welcome - a big tick from us for this! This alone will make us return!
The coffee is Danes and is good - not great but good!
Didn't have food as have eaten here before and it was poor but it looks like it has had a facelift & is possibly under new management? I will try the food next time!
A bit pricey but the view is worth the extra!

We were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast menu at this cafe - everything we ordered was just delicious. Although at the upper end of the price scale (and missing a good old fruit salad) it cannot be beaten for a great place to breakfast with your favourite canines in tow. They ensure there are plenty of bowls of water for the dogs and the staff happily serve around them
