Found in Samford Village, a short drive out of the Brisbane CBD, the Flying Nun Cafe is the perfect place to enjoy a coffee, a quick snack or sit down for a meal.
Located in Samford's old church, the Flying Nun comes complete with high ceilings and stain glass windows. This classic setting has been fused with contemporary furnishings, affordable prices and delicious food to create the ultimate cafe dining experience
Half an hour’s drive from the CBD is this delightful cafe in Samford Village. Located in a lovely old church there’s ample seating inside in the ambientfilled, quirkily designed rooms, or outside in the sunny, leafy courtyard. The extensive mod-Oz menu features delicious burgers, salads and omelettes, plus an excellent range of cakes for dessert. An obvious favourite for locals and the not-so local, it’s a great excuse to get out of town and inhale some country air. One of the best local options, though I have to admit we weren't quite as wow'd with a lunch visit as we have been with breakfasts. Still very good food, but the breakfast options by far are the stand-out to me. Hubby attests that the coffee is fantastic as well! Last visit favoured me with an excellent mexican-inspired breakfast option with pulled pork, beans, corn and some zingy chipotle sauce, with eggs on the side. Definitely check in if you're in the area, but odds are you'll need a reservation...
Wonderful little place in Samford. Book a table - they are super busy and every table has reserved signs for most of the day. Have only had breakfast here and loved my meal each time. Service is very friendly. The setting is just gorgeous too. Highly recommend The Flying Nun!
