I have been a regular customer for the past two years. Always had a slightly limited menu and is slightly overpriced, but a good cafe for kids (if you ignore the incredibly spiky cacti in the plant pot next to the kids toys!). Today I went with my sister in law and our kids. One coffee came out after 10 mins, fine. Another 10 mins later 3 kids milkshakes arrived. 15 minutes later 4 ham and cheese toasties arrived (35 mins after initial order). After a further 15 minute wait I went inside to see how far away the other coffee and the burger were. visited on a very hot day in summer, sat under umbrellas for shade, limited table inside. shared the home made baked beans $14, roasted mushies (with cavolo nero greens, olives and parmesan) $18, chermoula eggs with pumpkin $16 which were all really tasty. great iced coffees $6 and strawberry smoothies with fresh fruit $6.50. kids love the expansive park next door. staff friendly. highly recommend. tucked away in back streets of burwood.
lovely little tucked away caf in the suburbs super kid friendly - owner has cut a hole in fence where they are beside a basic playground so you can watch kids while you dine. they have Bonsoy available and their lattes were great. we had a breakfast dish with roasted mushrooms, olives, cavolo nero, parmesan, roasted fennel and 2 poached eggs for $17 which was sizeable and delicious. caf uses modern inventive ingredients . we also has the soup of the day -barley, vegetable and mixed bean for $12 which was healthy, hearty and yum. the toasted $12 ciabata with toppings including pumpkin and fetta sounded nice too. will definitely return, lovely outdoor backyard with heater, artificial turf, toys, wall murals but not under cover so if rains need to sit inside. seating also available out front on street frontage..parking nearby could be a problem and parking signs were very confusing. open Saturday and sunday for breaky and lunch!
