The Gin Palace is an award winning lounge and bar. It is a very popular place for cocktails and also for enjoying live performances of also for enjoying live performances of jazz. The Gin Palace has a reputation for being an intimate and trendy bar.
Quirky, fascinating and welcoming, the good old Gin Palace. Minus-zero pretension and 100 per cent cool. Love the myriad of framed prints in kooky styles on the walls, though not the privet hedge branches stuffed in wheelie bins on the flower front. But after a few of their gin cocktails ? and there are eight ? who cares?

I really wish we had something like this in Sydney! Great place to kick back and have amazing drinks. I love my gin and wasn't even aware until I had been here that there could be so many varieties of Gin and even tonics. Try their chicken sandwhich and pate too - one of the best sandwiches we have had and great to nibble on.
This is my favourite bar in Melbourne, and when I get down there I make sure a stop in here. Draped in purple and rich velvets with loads of nooks to sit on comfy sofa's - it's the best Martini in Melbourne. (they have so many variations it will make your head spin) Try the ribbon sandwiches too. I am not a fan on a Friday or Saturday night as you can't move but I love it mid week.
