The Golden Door Health Retreat & Spa Elysia

I had one of the worst experiences I could ever have paid for at this 'glamorous spa' last Friday. I feel the need to let others know that just because you pay a huge amount for a service you do NOT always get the best results. I was one of a bridal group of 10 ladies who booked in for ' mini' mani-pedis- the cost was 120 for this service and all we received was aa average nail paint job. - no massage, no moisturizer they did not exfoliate or do our cuticle. They literally painted our nails!!!!!! All of the nails had either chipped or in one case completely come off by the next day!! We felt that paying well over $1000 between us that we should have had a much better service. The girls were lovely but it is obviously the management who decide what the services entailed. The polish was old and the colours very limited. They really know what they are up to though because they insisted we pay PRIOR to the service. Please re- think before throwing your money away

I had an absolutely magnificent vichy shower and scrub here. The therapist made me feel totally comfotable, the environment was stunning and the service was gorgeous.

The only reason I didn't give it full marks is that there were cobwebs in the corners of the windows and it kinda broke the mood a little but overall a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!
