The Greenhouse

really dissapointing, very upmarket looking restaurant and was looking forward to trying it for lunch while holidaying nearby. but food was expensive and disppointing. the brushetta was $10 which was just tomato, basil, parmesan and goats cheese (not very imaginative) and small. staff were not very friendly, snobbish probably because we had 3 kids under 10 with us who are used to dining out. the smoked chicken and avacado focacia with unhealthy and cheap chips $15 was also not very imaginative or tasty. food was more like informal ready made cheaper cafe style food. all food was over priced for serving size and quality of ingerdients, coffees were good and they have bonsoy, dinner nenu on w/e included thai curry which sounded nice. we aso had the chorizo salad with r/potatoes, greens, tomato $17 which was also small and just OK. nice setting although trying to be high class restaurant concentrating on wines and more upmarket customers but not ...read more
