The Highway

I returned for a Saturday afternoon session so it was less crowded this time. They had plenty of bar staff so no queuing this time. It was quite a good atmosphere. They musician that they had was fantastic - great song selection. We ordered some pizzas which were ok.

We moved onto The Highway from another pub on a Saturday evening. It was busy so it's obviously a really popular spot. They had a guy with a guitar playing who was really good and created a nice atmosphere and then later the DJ kicked in. They need more staff behind the bar. People were queued 2-3 deep trying to get a drink.

Game 3 of the NBA Cavaliers vs Warriors - my friend and I came here to watch as it was the closest sports bar near my area. We ordered a garlic bread and chicken schnitzel which included a free beer! Score!
Good atmosphere and yummy food! I know where to go now next time I am in need for a sports bar!

Times have changed, and so has the Highway Inn. I don't know what it used to be like but these days it is a place for pretty much everybody. They have a fine dining restaurant if you want something romantic, and they have a beer garden that is nothing short of awesome (especially with the Diaquari Bar that opens in the evening, when the place turns into a nightclub). Oh, and if you are interested in a bit of a punt they even has a sports bar (as well as a room full of pokies). However, it is the awesome beer garden that brought me, and then my friends, here to have a quiet beer one summers afternoon. Oh, and the bouncers are awesome despite the fact that I was not dressed up, and had a book in my hand, they still let me in on Saturday night for a beer while I was waiting for my bus to arrive.

I eat here a lot best bar to eat a meal, really nice and the staff are great
