The Hof Downtown

We visited The Hof Downtown after going to Etihad a couple of weeks ago. What a find! Really wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff. Ended up ordering the schnitzel, which was more than enough for two and delicious. Great food and a lot of fun. Thumbs up!

What a great place to kick off the night. The Hof Downtown was our meeting point amongst our group of friends. While having a drink waiting for the gang, I took in the atmosphere which was made up of A league supporters for a match held at Ethihad stadium. Would have to say it was fairly crowded before kick off. So crowded that it took a toll on the staff working there making service not as it would be on a usual night. The wait on drinks was longer than usual but happy to wait as had great company. The Hof Downtown have their own beer on tap which is a lager and for $10 a pint makes good value. They have 2 bars, one situated inside and another outside. Without the A league crowd, I wouldnt think this place being always packed or have a positive atmosphere. Cant say too much as I dont know what its like during after work drinks. Might have to come back on an ordinary night. But overall i had a great time with my friends
