As a visitor to Bathurst I was lucky to have had The Hub recommended for breakfast, it was a very enjoyable way to start our day. The outdoor ambiance is lovely, especially on a warm spring morning. The food was fine, nothing out of the ordinary. I had asked that my poached eggs be soft, and they weren't. No biggie, but still, if it matters to you...The service was attentive and friendly, and it was quiet while we were there first thing in the morning. All up a good experience and highly recommended.
The Hub offers a wonderful experience for guests and I have been coming here for years. The environment is lovely, the food is delicious BUT I would recommend just a little more egg with the bacon and eggs ;) and the Mocha could definitely be just a little more chocolatey as it can be a bit bitter. My biggest complaint with The Hub is that they often CLOSE if they are full.. which seems a bit odd to me, as I would much prefer them take one minute to speak with me and tell me they are full and how long the wait would be - what if im just after a take away coffee? For those who are visiting the area, there is no signage saying to 'wait here' or sign for what to do, do you take a seat? do you wait? do you go to the counter? this is very confusing.
Over all if you are in town visiting be sure to stop off at The Hub as it is always a lovely experience, just some feedback for management!
Really good food, a bit XXXy. I like the Enchilada (just under $30) but to be honest there are a lot of other good places to eat in Bathurst which are cheaper. Servings are generous and food is good quality. There is outdoor seating which is quite atmospheric with vines and a little garden. Super busy - by 1pm there is usually a sign telling new comers that there is no more seating. Worth booking! Food wait time is significant due to busyness. Price aside, I would always eat here! As I need to watch my dollars I only visit occasionally. Also not appropriate if you are in a rush.
I returned for a second meal at The Hub. Both service and atmosphere were still great. Disappointingly, the food and chai latte bordered on average. I wished the menu offered 'lighter' meal options for lunch. I decided on the lamb wrap. Sadly, the lamb was too dry and I struggled to finish it.
I am not in a hurry for a third visit any time soon.
