My partner and I decided to try this restaurant for the first time on my birthday this week and we were very disappointed. Let me say that the special entree platter we ordered was very good but this was where the happiness ended. The main I ordered of grilled whiting, which I only went for after being told they had run out of bugs (at 7.00 Tuesday night with less than a dozen people in the restaurant, what the?) was in fact flour coated and fried. My partner not being a huge fish fan went for the surf and turf medium rare. The steak was presented well to medium well. While a new one was being re-fired the wait staff advised us that the chef said it was medium rare "in the middle". The new steak then arrived after only 4 minutes and was clearly bleu as if the chef was having a lend, and it was not eaten. I also refilled all my own wine from the bottle all night, poor service. There was clearly a theme for the night as we overheard a nearby table offered a 10% discount ...read more
i just happened to be walking past this restaurant tonight with my husband so we decided to try it as it was so appealing. Im so glad we did. The food was amazing. The seafood was fresh and cooked perfectly. The seafood display fridge is a great idea. All meals are a large serving considering the prices. Service was excellent. Before we could finish a glass of wine the waitress was there offering more drinks. All staff had smiles and were very friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience!
WOW... i ate here on Saturday night and the food was AMAZING...and the service was spot on, could not fault it at all. The waitress knew everything on the menu when i asked a question. The waitress was very attentive and i always had wine and water in my glass. Its just so cheap especially using local south australian produce. This place will be BIG. Oh and the brownie is to die for... Will def be recommending this to people.
seen as its still the same management as before, i hope they have not just changed there name but their attitude and service because it can only get better. previous visits to this establishment have been dismal and embarrassing.lets hope we don't have to wait for 2 hours for overcooked food
I walked past this last night and it looks AMAZING! its definately that something new and different that Adelaide needs!.. I saw a "staff meeting" i believe occuring in which the food was being tasted and i probably looked like a freak dribbling on the window.. Cannot wait to taste the local produce and dine within such a beautiful setting.
I truly wish the new owners all the best with this and i hope you do well. I love new restuarants so thank you for supplying little old Adelaide with such a beautiful one :) You will be seeing me and my partner the night you open :)
