The James Place Hotel

This is one of those little gems hidden away in one of Adelaide's alleyways. While I never regularly went here (namely because I keep of forgetting about it until I ended up walking past again) it is one of those quiet pubs that I like to visit. The interior is not huge, but I have always managed to find a couple to seats to sit down and have a beer. The lower floor is basically pokie machines (which I generally ignore) so the better part is upstairs to the small bar on the second floor. There have been times when I have turned up at this pub in the early hours of the morning to grab a beer with friends, or simply walking past after work and catching sight of it again. I've always found the staff quite friendly and suspect that the next time I'm in Adelaide I'd probably find myself here again.
