The Kilburn

Like most of the places that I visited I have only been here once and I only ordered one beer. However it was also on a Sunday evening, which basically meant that the place was incredibly quiet – in fact I was the only person inside. Anyway, I’m not hugely familiar with Hawthorn so I can’t say what the atmosphere of the suburb is like, but this place is certainly not a hipster bar in the sense of the Inner North of Melbourne hipster scene is like. However I wouldn’t go as far as suggesting that it is either a cocktail or craft beer bar either. It was a little classy, but not hugely so in relation to some places that I have been. While it isn’t necessarily a place that I would hurry back to, it was okay, and the bartender was quite nice as well, and they had some decent beers on tap as well, However, it isn’t really a place that I would call incredibly wonderful.
