I am pretty sure this bar is older than me, with some much tradition comes so much 'run-down-ness' which features heavily with this bar. It seems most of the drinking doesn't happen in the bar, but outside coming close to spilling onto the road.
There use to be bands that played at the Lansdowne, but I could be dating myself. As though bands use to play here, I don't recall having my social drink interrupted by some loud band - battling the Sydney pub scene. But then again I don't go out that late like I use too either. - Late enough though.
Beer prices seem to come with a premium and no real reason why? Staff a bit direct, but nothing different to the average Sydney pub. Plenty of history in this bar, but really nothing to it nowadays. As the 2 stars states "below average" with the history comes the smell of a stale by gone era.
