The Leopard Lounge

I had my first visit to The Leopard Lounge yesterday and I think I am hooked! Took me a couple of years to be brave enough to give Milena a call (as I though that the salon was far too cool for a client like me;) but am so happy I did! I booked at the last minute (Friday afternoon for a Saturday appointment) and Milena was able to squeeze me into her hugely busy day! She made me feel comfortable right away; listened to what I was after, then suggested what might be good for me. I find it very hard to trust hairdressers but Milena put me at ease right away and quite clearly she know she her stuff! My colour was exactly what I was hoping for and I so so loved the style she gave me! I think I've found my new hairdresser!

Would totally recommend for not only the result of fabulous hair, but for the overall experience! Thanks for a great afternoon!

I am a repeat customer to this lovely salon! I love mel's attitude and enthusiasm, I don't have the healthiest hair and she works her magic everytime making it beautifully glossy and thick again. It makes me feel amazing and I have gotten some lovely dates because of it! Her products are lovely too, as they help keep my hair healthy for longer

Went to get hair done for my own engagement party. From booking to final result it was terrible. Long time before a response to make a booking, put on hold for a long time and owner kept forgetting my details and name. When I went in she argued with me over what colour I should get. Then when I told her what style I was after she said "the hair will tell me what it wants". totally ignoring what I wanted she set the hair for a completely different style. I wanted a 1920s finger wave look and she put it in rollers and I got a 1950s Marilyn look. She couldn't believe I wasn't thrilled by the result and rolled her eyes at another customer as if I was a difficult customer. Bad experience. Rude, pushy woman. It was clear she was out to make as much money out of me as possible and tried to push me into having things done by criticising my previous hairdresser. She asked personal questions and made inappropriate comments. Very awkward experience. Will not be returning. What a shame, as the salon was decorated beautifully and seemed so lovely.

I honestly can't understand the negative reviews on here. I've had a number of hair appointments with Milena (for both vintage & current styles) and have always been beyond thrilled with the results. Her calendar is (understandably) extremely busy, and this means have been times when she hasn't been able to accommodate my preferred day or time - but she has always gotten in touch to offer me alternatives or tell me she's running a little behind schedule. I get it - sometimes life happens and things come up (fun fact - hair stylists are people, too!). Flexibility isn't just a one way street and I'm not sure why others seem to have such a hard time with that.

Funnily enough, none of the negative reviewers have said anything about being unhappy with the hair cut/style/make up they received... Judging how I feel every time I leave the salon and the smiles on the other clients I see walking out the door, this does not surprise me.
