The Little Mule Cafe
Closed until Tuesday
7:30 am - 3:30 pm
Loved finding The Little Mule Co. after reading reviews about great places to go for coffee 'when in Melbourne'. It didn't disappoint. Afraid of the early city coffee rush (and because, holidays!), we dropped in around 9am. Perfect timing after the rush, walked in and got a table.
Happy service and even better - cook books on standby in their little corner nook ready for you to read....and take photos of recipes you find and love!
Will definitely be stopping by on our next Melbourne trip!
My friend discovered this place as he was making his way to meet up with us for lunch and immediately decided that he wanted to come here. The reason being is because we were looking for someplace that was not going to be all that crowded, and the Little Mule certainly fit that requirement. It is basically one of those trendy cafes hidden away in Melbourne's maze of alley ways, and these places are simply the best places for a meal. In fact, what was cool was that they had some strange items on the menu, such as a baked bean toastie, though I wasn't all that game to try that and simply stuck with a simple tuna salad. Still, this was a pretty cool place and I'm sure we will be coming here again.
previously lived in Melbourne and use to be a regular at lord of the fries. i have since recently visited and would not go back again. the burgers were disgusting the orders mixed up and the fries over cooked. I've recommended them to a lot of people and was surprised when they'd comment about not liking it.... i now understand why
Nice chips :) My coeliac friend was delighted to discover that everythng they did was gluten free, not to mention vegan and vegetarian. Their chips seem the biggest hit, especially for the late nighters on Saturday nights in front of the taxi rank at Flinders Station. A bit pricey, but you would expect it for a place that caters for different dietary & allergies.
