The Local Taphouse

The beer selection is fantastic and the place was really chill, all dark wood and repurposed furniture. Their summer sours right now are really good, although I went early Saturday evening and two kegs were already tapped out-the ones I wanted, too!

If you are after some good quality local & non local beers this is the place!

Close to public transport (so no need to drive) great pub food, did I mention the beers?!

Oh, and on Friday & Saturday's they have live music, so get around it!

Descent pub food with an awesome selection of draught and bottled beers. Beers are both local and international and are changed up regularly. They have comedy on Monday which is fun and also have live music on fairly often. Dig it!

Apparently Carlisle Street is the new Acland Street and with it comes all the new trendy spots. Great selection of beers on tap and a good vibe, traditional pub vibe. The food is decent too and the beer does stimulate your appetite for the southern friend chicken. It gets quite noisy and crowded and is obviously a trendy place to hang out.
