Catherine Shales, Principle of The Nail Depot, is highly regarded in the Nail Industry and has many years experience in Nail Education and Technology. Catherine has won a world Championship in Las Vegas in 1999 and placed in many other international competitions. Catherine has attended many educational camps and is always amongst the first with the latest in education and training requirements in WA. Catherine has recieved many awards for her training skills.
The Nail Depots education department is designed so that students can learn all levels of Nail Technology and the many different levels of training such as: beginners, intermediate, advanced competition and master classes. These classes can be done in a small group situation or one to one.
The Nail Depot educators are experienced in training in private and government sectors. Professional development will ensure that the Nail Depot educators will be always up to date with the latest products and technology thus ensuring students receive training that is relevant and current to industry standards.
The Nail Depot training department is committed to providing an education for its students that will equip them with the skills to become outstanding Nail Technicians. This is a great little salon that I'd been meaning to try for ages. There is a HUGE range of polishes and other embellishments to choose from. I was the only person there when I attended, all the other staff having gone home. I was disappointed to find I'd been booked in and wanting to try some nail art, but was assigned a girl who didn't actually do "art", other than adding glitter etc. It had made my scouring the internet for inspiration a little bit of a waste of time (she was quite hesitant when I showed her ideas). In the end I went for different and bright colours with one glitter nail - and due to the range of polishes, I am very happy with the outcome. I did feel like she was rushing a bit and that my french tip in a different colour on one of my nails was not particularly precise, but on the whole, this is a very unique salon and worthy of a try if you would like to try something completely different for once. My daughter recommended Nail Depot after a number of disappointing manicure and shellac/gelac results at other salons. This unpretentious salon commits to providing quality manicures and pedicures (and other services I have not used but, if the nail experience is an indication, would be equally well executed). I have had cause to call Justine 'my hero' after she rescued my nails, which has resulted in me liking to look at my hands - a brand new experience! The 'between manicure' advice relating to nail care has been excellent. Owner Katherine is to be commended for her own artistry, the atmosphere within the Depot and the high standard of service delivery her staff maintains.
Got a mani and a pedi here the other day, great customer service, highly skilled technicians I really had an overall fantastic experience at The Nail Depot. If you're looking for a nail salon, go here!
