The cafe has changed names now to the shorehouse.
the food and coffee are good, the view is amazing, the service is very variable from very poor to good depending on who is working
it would be over 4 stars if they spent time training staff on good service

Service is really bad. Not dog friendly.

Been there 3 times over the last 2 years. Nice location, however always really disappointing.

Visited The naked fig with approx' 11 others on Fri evening 22/2/13. Cannot comment on the view, as it was dark. First had trouble finding the correct entrance, as signage was not sufficient in the dark. The service was Ok in the beginning & we didn't have to wait too long for our meals. I ordered char grilled squid, which looked like it was parboiled & had never been anywhere near a grill. It was white & chewy. Many of us ordered a cup of tea, as that was offered as an alternative to coffee. When the tea finally arrived, we all got a teapot each, which turned out to be p**s weak. After lifting the lid we all found that the water didn't reach the tea leaves. I approached the counter to request some teabags, but was pretty much brushed aside with "we don't do teabags."no solutions were offered; they just didn't care. I also might add that the staff seemed very young, with no people skills whatsoever. Our saving grace was the huge pavlova that one of our guests had ...read more

Food is reasonable and prices are expensive. Great location on the beach but at night it gets cold.

I had been hearing so much about the Naked Fig from friends in Perth that I had to check it out on a recent trip back there. The location is absolutely stunning and encompasses what Perth is all about; warm (ok, hot) weather, sunshine, blue skies and amazing beaches. I have been a big fan of the Wild Fig so was curious to check out its new sister. The menu is identical to the Wild Fig so there was nothing new there. Service was a bit slow and the portions were huge! While everyone likes to get what they paid for, the portions are a bit too big and feel a bit wasteful. The experience was memorable, maybe because we managed to see a helicopter fly by proposing to a girl by the name of Lauren B. Unfortunately Lauren B was not at the Naked Fig so we didn't manage to see her jump for joy or run for cover!
