The New Esplanade Hotel

My mum, son and I stayed here last Monday. when we got to the reception the reception staff asked us for a credit card, so my mum handed her card over just thinking they where taking her detail incase of damage or use of mini bar as most hotels do, they then proceeded to swipe my mums card on the eftpos machine when I asked what staff was charging on it because we had already payed $150 for the nights stay, staff replied 'oh a amenities fee of $200 just incase you damage the room or use the mini bar' we where not told of this while booking the room online and staff didn't even explain this fee before staff tried to process this payment. There were a few staff members behind the desk who all seemed as though they had no idea what they were doing. when explaining the fee the staff referred to things as 'thingy' the staff where not very friendly either. they showed us a list of things that would include in this fee such as: water on the floor after showering... Possibly the worst hotel in Perth . Terrible access, all the doors to the carpark are locked. The beds are rock hard, aircon doesn't work , my fridge didn't work and on top of that parking is $30 per day

I absolutly love this hotel , my partner & i have stayed here at least 5 times & we love the pool area rooms & everything about it :)

Nice clean hotel. Nice sized room. The bathrooms are very outdated though. Not much of a view. Parking is available but you have to share with the businesses for it. No real eateries nearby till you get into the city or go over to northbridge. But a nice inexpensive clean play to stay. Friendly customer service
