If you want to experience what a good european cafe is like, then The Old Danube is the perfect place. Here you'll find the right balance of old favourites and classic european cakes that are freshly made on-site by a very talented Hungarian pastry chef. If you are looking for something a bit more savoury, you'll also find a wonderful selection of pies, sausage rolls and freshly made sandwiches that will satisfy any appetite. My personal favourite is to order the home-made Hungarian Goulash and to follow it up with a Shomloi or a piece of Esterhazy (two traditional Hungarian desserts). As for the coffee, it is the best I've tried in Queensland - quality coffee made with skill and care.The owners and staff are an absolute delight, always ready to greet you with a welcome smile. Definately worth a visit - you'll be back!
