if you like your coffee as strong as rocket fuel, you can't go past the old fish shop coffee shop. unappetising as the name may be (given the incompatability between fish and coffee) the unpretentious, casual space is just the place to while away some spare time and perhaps grab a snack. authentic newtown - a rare breed these days.
