We always have a lovely experience at the Teahouse and recently went for my brother and sister-in-laws' 25th Wedding Anniversary.
It's a bit pricey but staff were attentive and the food lovely.
If you're a bit of a tea person, there's lots to choose from and smell before making a decision - from creme brulee, roibos, green tea and cherry ripe! Have fun deciding!
The chicken pot pie and salad were also great for lunch.
Always good for a special occassion.
I attended a baby shower here with about 9 friends. We met down in the garden area first, then staff showed us to our table. The place is so pretty. Lots of vintage lace and tea cups. The lunch menu is around $20. I ordered the open Mexican bean tortilla with salad. The tortilla was cooked but still a bit soft and went soggy on the base quickly. During the ordering of the food/ beverages we asked them how long it would take for the food and drinks to come they informed us in 10mins. During that period some drinks came and Some cakes came 30-40mins later not all of the Guests had their food or drinks. When asked staff member stated they had forgotten.they did not appologise. Nil apologies or updates were made in regards to the food coming out during a total of 50mins. When paying they tried to over charge us and ...read more
The Old Teahouse Gallery Cafe is a great place for any celebration.
The beautiful old Queenslander has been converted into a gorgeous Teahouse Cafe with a small Gallery & Gift Shop. The gardens are beautifully maintained.
The staff are lovely and friendly and make you very welcome.
The china collections are delightful and tea and cakes lovely.
I've sampled the Cherry Ripe & Creme Brûlée and the Hummingbird Cake was a treat for my daughter.
I'm looking forward to heading back for High Tea.
But book first, it can get busy. Only open Friday to Sunday.
