The Pool Cafe
The Pool Café is situated in a very envious position. It is located opposite Mahon Pool and has a 180% view of the ocean and headline. Miraculously for the Eastern Suburbs parking isn’t a problem. On a sunny day there is all day sunshine that bathes the café in all its glory. Seating is available inside or can be enjoyed north or east facing outside. There is also a function room which can accommodate up to 30 people. For more information refer to their website.

I should have written this review months ago when i was there but i didnt think it was necessary. Several months later my interactions with this Cafe still leave an incredibly sour taste in my mouth.
My complaints with this cafe do not stem from the staff or the food - they come from the owner/manager. I think his name was Louie. When i was there he was absolutely and unashamedly scathing to his team members and people of the general public. I witnessed him verbally abuse multple staff and what seemed to be an on site contractor. The combinations of words that came out of his mouth should not be uttered by anyone - especially not the owner/representative of a ...read more
New to the beach, its up off the busy strip near the north carpark so great parking available. Some of the food is MASSIVE portions, which is almost abit wasteful but great value for what you pay. The soy coffee I have had here has been touch and go, so if you are a soy drinker make sure to ask for fresh milk to avoid clumpy milk. Would be better if they had more sourdough choices, rather than just white and Turkish toast. A nice atmosphere as lots of seating to cater for busy days. Big sliding doors/windows so great open plan dinning. Overall a good cafe addition.
