What a lovely setting for an early lunch! Located within the Grounds Of Alexandra complex, it fits with the theme and is a tucked away garden area with lots of different types of seating. As we got here early, it wasn't that busy but the Grounds already were so very lucky we made a booking. Note that the tables are for 2 hour sittings only so you can't linger too long.
Greeted by the lovely waitress as well as Fluffy the macaw, we were seated immediately and the service was brilliant. The waitress serving our table was on top of her game and made sure we weren't waiting too long for ...read more
Cute little section of the Grounds, I wwouldn't really say the food was anything special as they are pretty small portioned and plus they only have a small menu. Their drinks were awesome (mulled wine in a teapot - cute) but their service weren't that great. Good little hang out spot
A relatively cool little place. It seems to be a bit mass produced, unfortunately, and doesn't have much soul in my view. It is good but not great. It is Alexandria, after all.
Food was decent. The lighting was so bad though that I couldn't take a picture in order to post here! The flash made everything ugly!!
Staff were not that good. Ordering was a pleasure less experience with no attempt at charm from the waiter.
Music was way too loud.
My main issue was this. It Can't pick whether it is a club or a restaurant. Probably doesn't know!
Everything is themed here, even before you get through the door there is a fire in a wheelbarrow for marshmallow toasting. It is all themed with items you would find in your stereotypical 'potting shed' and even has a resident parrot. I like this place for share food. They do big portions and if you order a number of them they are great sharing dishes. The cocktails are great too, just not big enough!
